The person

Franz Co, known in certain circles as "d3v," is an IT professional, amateur independent game developer, database monkey, part time graphic designer, arcade enthusiast and fighting game tournament competitor.

The name

The site name is a portmanteau of "d3v" my usual internet handle and delicious.

"D3v" originally came from some forums where I had signed up jokingly as "D3v4st4t0r." Eventually, the name was shortened by others in that forum as d3v, this has stuck ever since and is now my usual handle (with some variations, depending on the site).

The site

The purpose of this site, other than being just a personal blog, is a place for me to both showcase my work, primarily the custom designs, or "skins" that I have been doing for home arcade sticks as well as my amateur game design work, and for me to able to write or blog a bit about some of my hobbies and interests; primarily old school arcade games ( fighting games, shoot 'em ups and the like) and arcade culture.
