Eternal Blaze's KoFXIII T.E. "S"

Some time ago, an SRK poster who goes by the name "Eternal Blaze" asked me to do a King of Fighters XIII piece for the MadCatz Tournament Edition "S" stick featuring some of his favorite characters. 

The result is this stunning (if I do say so myself) piece featuring K', Ash and King with art that's slashed (or more appropriately burned) to reveal a hint of the KoFXIII logo peeking through.

The "V" slash was inspired by the design of the original SNK MVS arcade cabinet's control panel. It also is a slight easter egg for Leona fans since it's similar to her "V-slasher" special move. The backgrounds are, ironically enough taken from promotional wallpapers for Super Street Fighter IV. The "splashing wave" imagery went quite well with the design I had in mind so I used it. Eternal Blaze's hande on the upper left (above the turbo panel) is done in a style reminiscent of the KoFXIII logo.

In addition to this, the client wanted art for the bottom panel as well.  For this, I had originally decided to do something similar to the top panel using two other characters that he liked; Vice and Duo Lon.

However, the client then decided to have something featuring every from the game's cast instead.

The new design is basically a wallpaper from the official site with some added effects to make it look as if Elisabeth had burned through the bottom acrylic with her hand.
