Sega New Versus City Lookalike

Back in 1996, Sega released an update to their classic head to head Versus City cabinet appropriately called the New Versus City. The update used the same chassis as the older cab, but added a new, larger marquee (similar to that of the Blast City cabinet) and off course, new control panel art. It's this control panel art that I've recreated in my Sega New Versus City lookalikes for the MadCatz Tournament Edition and Hori Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 (and later ported to Voltech's VAS-HG as part of my Sega lookalikes for that case).

Sega Astro City/Virtua Stick-SS T.E.

The Sega Astro City control panel is one of the more popular arcade control panels to copy for custom stick art. For my take on it however, I decided to add a twist and based mine on the Sega Virtua Stick SS (HSS-0136) for the Sega Saturn which used a similar design to the Astro City control panel.

The "New Style" Template

After playing around with the classic Versus City template, I decided to create a new base template using a small part of it. The result of this is what I originally dubbed the "New Style" templates since at the time, doing non-arcade panel style templates was new for me. This is also the first design I did that was created specifically as a base for future designs.
